Erie Explosion Continue Quest to Defend CIFL Title

(Erie, PA)- The Erie Explosion will continue the quest to defend their CIFL Championship when they return to action for their final regular season game on Sunday April 27th with kickoff scheduled for 2:00pm at the Erie Insurance Arena. The Explosion (7-2) are coming off of a bye week in which they secured a CIFL Playoff spot as a result of the Chicago Blitz loss to the Northern Kentucky Rivermonsters. The Chicago Blitz have been eliminated from CIFL playoff contention. The Explosion will travel the second weekend in May to face the Saginaw Sting at the Dow Event Center in the North Division Championship Game. In the CIFL South Division the Marion Blue Racers have secured the number one seed and will face the Dayton Sharks or Northern Kentucky Rivermonsters who are competing for the final playoff spot.

The Erie Explosion who are the defending 2013 CIFL Champions will play their final home regular season game on Sunday April 27th at the Erie Insurance Arena with kickoff scheduled for 2:00pm. The game has been designated as the Breast Cancer Awareness Game and all Explosion players will be wearing special commemorative pink jerseys.
