Erie Explosion Add Veteran Placekicker Carlos Ojeda

(Erie, PA) The Erie Explosion have announced the signing of veteran placekicker Carlos Ojeda, who was most recently with the Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League. Ojeda (5'9, 178) is expected to bring a boost to the Explosion special teams unit when they take on Northern Division rival Harrisburg Stampede on Friday April 15th at the Tullio Arena. A reliable and strong legged indoor and arena veteran, Ojeda spent the season with the Fairbanks Grizzlies of the Indoor Football League during 2009, and was a part of the Albany Conquest of the af2 and also spent time with the Daytona Beach Thunder (WIFL), Alaska Wild (IFL), and Ohio Valley Greyhounds (UIF). He played collegiately at Webber International University after transferring from the University of Central Florida. At Webber, he graduated with various school records including career points by a kicker, single-season points, and longest field goal. Ojeda also earned 2nd Team All- SEAC as a senior.

The Explosion currently lead the SIFL Northern Division with a record of 3-1, and feature the top ranked offense in the Eastern Conference.
