Erie, Pennsylvania, Monday, March 19 - The Erie BayHawks have acquired more frontcourt help for their late season playoff push with the signing of veteran NBA forward, Joey Graham. Graham figures to have an immediate impact for the BayHawks as they make a push to the playoffs with only nine games remaining.
Graham (6-7, 230) was originally drafted by the Toronto Raptors in the first round (16th overall) in the 2005 NBA Draft. The former Oklahoma State Cowboy played four seasons in Toronto, one in Denver and spent last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. For his NBA career, he is averaging 5.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
He will join a BayHawks squad that is fighting for playoff position in the cramped Eastern Conference of the NBA Development League. The BayHawks are currently tied for the eighth and final seed in the playoffs but are only 1.5 games out of the second spot. Graham's twin brother, Stephen, is currently a member of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Sharrod Ford remains on the BayHawks ten man roster as forward Billy White has yet to join the team.
The BayHawks will return home on Thursday, March 22 to face the Eastern Conference leading Canton Charge. The first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a free frisbee, courtesy of Stanley Steemer.
