Wichita Stealth News Release

Wichita, KS - Chris Enneking has had several outstanding performances for the Stealth after joining the team mid-way through the season. But his performance against the San Diego Riptide was his best yet winning the arenafootball2 Built Ford Tough Man of the week award. Enneking was instrumental in the Stealth's 42-37 victory over the Riptide. He recorded his second sack of the season early in the first quarter bringing down Riptide Quarterback Kane Claunch in the end zone for a safety. Enneking would terrorize the San Diego front line all night long and ended the contest with a pass defense, blocked kick, and sack. One statistic that will not show up on paper was Enneking's ability to penetrate the front line drawing holding penalties several times throughout the game.

The former Arena Football veteran came to the Stealth in early May and made his debut against the Fresno Frenzy. His talent was apparent from the beginning as he blocked two kicks in his first af2 game. Enneking, a former Kansas Jayhawk, has played in nine games this season for the Stealth, and has recorded 12.5 tackles, two sacks, two pass breakups, and three blocked kicks.

Perhaps the biggest impact Enneking has made on the Stealth was the addition of a true Center. Wichita was plagued with fumbled snaps at the beginning of the season. Since Enneking took over the snapping duties, the Stealth has yet to turn over the ball on a fumbled center to quarterback exchange.
