OKLAHOMA CITY - Energy FC announced it has re-signed midfielder Sebastian Dalgaard.
Dalgaard, a 6-2, 185-pound native of Odense, Denmark played in 28 games with Energy FC last season, starting 26. He was among five position players that exceeded 2,000 minutes played on the season. His six goals and 13 points were good for third on the team in both categories. Prior to joining Energy FC, Dalgaard played three seasons with Brønshøj in Denmark, appeared in 44 games, played 3,529 minutes and scored four goals.
"I'm very excited to be back in OKC and back playing for the energy," said Dalgaard. "I feel like we have some unfinished business to take care of this season, and I think we as a team owe our wonderful fans a trophy this year!"
Energy FC General Manager Jason Hawkins said: "We had high expectations for Sebastian when we brought him in last year and he definitely lived up to those. He is a dynamic player who the fans love to watch and we are excited to have him back and see where this second year will take him."
Dalgaard joins his fellow countryman Danni König on the roster as well as returning players Cyprian Hedrick, Peter Toth, Daniel Gonzalez, Chuy Sanchez, Coady Andrews, Kalen Ryden, and goaltender Ray Clark and newcomer Luis Martinez as players officially signed for the 2016 season.
