Ems and Easyhome Teaming up Again
August 16, 2016 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Eugene Emeralds News Release
EUGENE, OR - The Eugene Emeralds, Northwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are partnering with Easyhome Lease-to-own Center for the fourth straight season to offer free tickets to local, low-income families. Easyhome is proud to donate 2,000 tickets to the Emeralds game against the Tri-City Dust Devils on Tuesday, August 30.
Select tickets will be distributed at Easyhome's retail location, at 1671 N. 18th Street in Springfield, OR, but the majority will be handed out with the help of the Housing and Community Service Agency of Lane County (HACSA). Tickets are currently available at Easyhome's location.
"This ongoing promotion with Easyhome has been a great way for us to offer a fun night of entertainment to Lane County residents that otherwise may not have been able to afford a family outing to a ballgame," said Emeralds General Manager Allan Benavides. "HACSA is a fantastic partner to work with and are always appreciative of the help they receive from the business community."
Since 1977, the HACSA of Lane County has provided affordable housing and related community services to low-income residents of Eugene, Springfield and rural Lane County. HACSA is the second largest housing authority in Oregon, offering a variety of affordable housing options to individuals and families in Lane County.
The Eugene Emeralds work tirelessly to provide the families and residents of the Eugene, Springfield and Lane County with affordable and creative options to take in a night of baseball. The Ems are excited to partner with Easyhome and HACSA to provide 2,000 members of the community with a FREE night of baseball at one of the Northwest's finest baseball venues - PK Park.
This year the Eugene Emeralds proudly celebrate their 60th Anniversary. Since 1955, over 300 Emeralds alumni have made it to the Big Leagues. Our rich history includes players like Mike Schmidt, Bob Boone, Tom Gordon, Eric Davis and most recently 2014 AL Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber. For the 2015 season, the Emeralds have made a major affiliation change by signing with the Chicago Cubs. Season tickets, mini plans and group tickets for 2015 can be purchased at www.EmeraldsBaseball.com, by phone 541-342-5367 and in person by visiting the Emeralds Box Office located next to PK Park. Individual game tickets will go on sale in May.
