
Embry Malone's summer vacation on hold, named Heat Head coach

Seasoned minor league basketball owner,GM and coach Embry Malone of the ANBL Georgia Gwizzlies was named the WBA Anderson Heat Coach recently.
The former Pepperdine University grad and assistant coach will also handle basketball operations for the Heat.Annually Malone takes a team to the prestigious NBA California summer pro league in Long Beach.In 2005 he was named the SEBL Coach of the Year.In January he was invited by the CBA to be guest at the CBA All-star ballgame.For the past several years he has been named Who's Who in the South,America and the World by Marquis publication.In 2004 he was the first person awarded a minor league franchise in Atlanta in 10 years,which was the original ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies.Malone says he credits all his pro basketball success to Boston Celtic Dennis Johnson,the former college teammate,now a NBDL head Coach and Martin Luther King III.
"It was Dennis great career,inspirational talks to me,Martin' concern for me and a devasting lost in campaign race for congress that led me into coaching on the pro level,it's my calling.Presently the Heat team is 0-4,but Malone think that by the time the WBA playoffs starts the team will be a contender for the WBA championship.
