June 22, 2012 - West Coast League (WCL)
Bend Elks News Release
Elks Head Coach Sean Kinney, who had been at the helm of the Elks for the last two seasons, has stepped down as the head coach of the Bend Elks. Sean's decision comes on the heels of his accepting the Head Coaching job at Whitman College, his alma mater, where he played baseball from 2002-2005.
Sean's reason for leaving is due to the time constraints associated with the responsibilities of being a head coach, as he has begun to focus on the recruiting and administrative aspects of the job.
Sean had been a part of the Bend Elks organization since 2002. He played for the Elks from 2002-2005 and has been a member of the Elks coaching staff since 2006, including 2010 and 2011 at the helm of the Elks.
Joe Dominiak, former Head coach at St. Martin's University who has been the acting Head Coach while coach Kinney was away, will be the interim Head Coach for the 2012 season.
