JT Kaul surrendered 2 two run homers to Kitsap 3rd baseman Austin Hamilton and that was the ball game. Elks lose 5-2. Kaul, making his debut for Bend, went 4 innings, giving up 5 runs, all earned. Michael Bennet and Jordan Wilcox pitched well in relief, going 4 innings of 3 hit no run baseball. For the Elks, Zack Close led off the game with a solo homer and Grant Newton had an RBI double in the 7th. The Elks fall to 3-8 on the season.
