Elks 2024 Schedule Released

EDMONTON - The road to the 111th Grey Cup at B.C. Place in Vancouver, British Columbia has been set, as the CFL unveiled its 2024 schedule on Thursday.

2024 will be an historic one for the Edmonton Elks, as the Club kicks off their 75th regular season on Saturday, June 8 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Commonwealth Stadium. Home opener week will feature a celebration of EE greats, culminating with Saturday's game against the Roughriders. Full details of the Club's 75th season celebrations will be announced in February.

Additional highlights of the Elks' 18-game schedule include the annual Labour Day Classic in Calgary against the Stampeders (Sept. 2) and rematch in Edmonton (Sept. 7), plus an early season visit from the defending Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes on June 14.

The Elks' preseason matchups will feature a home game against the Roughriders (May 25) before heading on the road to face the BC Lions (May 31).

2024 season seats are currently available by visiting GoElks.com. Fans can also get their hands on home opener tickets today with the Elks Home Opener Holiday Pack. The package includes two (2) adult P4 tickets, a stainless steel water bottle and sticker set for $100 (+GST).

Single game tickets to the Elks full home schedule will go on sale in the spring.

After meeting two times in the 2023 regular season, the Elks and Stampeders will see each other three times in 2024, as the provincial rivals square off in the annual Labour Day Classic and rematch games along with late season date in Calgary on October 12. The Elks will visit McMahon Stadium for the 58th time on Labour Day, before welcoming the Stampeders to Commonwealth Stadium five days later for the rubber match on Sept. 7. The two teams split the season series in 2023, with both winning at home.

The Elks will be looking to break their losing streak against B.C. in 2024, after going 0-3 in back-to-back seasons and on a current seven game losing streak. Edmonton's first chance will come in Week 4 as they head on the road to face the Lions at BC Place. The Elks and Lions will only meet twice in 2024, with the season series wrapping at Commonwealth Stadium on August 11. Edmonton's last win against the Lions came on August 19, 2021.

For the third consecutive season, Edmonton's home opener comes against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who defeated the Elks in the last two home openers. This time it will be on June 8, in what will also be Edmonton's season opening game. The teams' met three times in 2023, where the Elks posted their lone victory against Saskatchewan at Mosaic Stadium, defeating the Riders 36-27 in Week 15.

Edmonton will look to snap a 10-game losing streak to the four-time defending West Division champion Blue Bombers. The Elks' last victory against Winnipeg came in their 2018 regular season finale, at Commonwealth Stadium. The 2024 season will see the two teams meet for a home and home in late September for the only two meetings of the season.
