
El Paso Unveils Team Name and Logo

EL PASO, TX. : The El Paso Indoor Football League organization announced on Thursday, October 30th, 2008 from Fort Bliss in El Paso, that the name selected for the new team will be the "Generals". Along with this significant moment for the organization came the unveiling of the new El Paso Generals team logo.
"This is a momentous day for the El Paso club and the community of El Paso. We wanted to decide on a team name and logo that would both symbolize the city of El Paso and relate with all those of the El Paso community. Today we have taken another huge step in preparing for the 2009 season, and we are proud to say that we are the Generals." stated El Paso Generals General Manager, Marcus Loyola.
The logo of the El Paso Generals exemplifies a General holding a grenade but portrayed as a football. The colors consist of white, teal, blue and gold along with the team name "El Paso Generals" on the bottom of the logo.
"We are taking important strides in developing this organization as a member of the Indoor Football League. I believe many of the El Paso football fans will get a lot of excitement out of the new name and logo. It is great to have a team name and logo that represents a lot of what the El Paso community is all about." stated El Paso Generals Head Coach, Brian Brents.
