The Nashua Silver Knights (5-4) beat the Pittsfield Suns 11-1 on Sunday at Wahconah Park after an eight-run explosion in the third inning.
The Nashua Silver Knights scored in the third on a two-run double byJimmy Ricoy, a fielder's choice, an RBI single byJoe Napolitano, an RBI single by Napolitano, an RBI single byCameron DiSarcina, and a two-run double byMatt Sanchez.
Napolitano had a hot bat for the Nashua Silver Knights. Napolitano went 4-6, drove in one and scored two runs.
The Pittsfield Suns (5-5)'s lineup had no answer forTim Viehoff. The Pittsfield Suns managed just three hits off of Viehoff, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Mike Marshallended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
