EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced today that the organization has signed Power Forward, Brady Skeens, for the 2021 Season.
Skeens, 25, spent the 2020-2021 season playing in Finland with Pyrinto Tampere suiting up for 33 games, where he averaged 29.7 minutes and 12.30 points per game.
He spent his 2019-2020 season with the Sudbury Five playing 22 games while averaging 30 minutes per game.
"I really enjoyed recruiting Brady," said Stingers GM and Head Coach Jermaine Small. "He comes from a great family and their love for the game was very apparent. His passion for rebounding and wanting to become a Stinger fits in perfectly with our group. There is no doubt he will do whatever it takes to help us win."
The six-foot-seven product of Lenexa, Kansas set his career high in points in a Canada - NBL game on February 7, 2020. That day he scored 23 points in a home win. He also had 18 rebounds, one assist and two blocks. He shot 10/11 from two, shooting at 90.9 percent from the field. He also shot 3/3 from the free-throw line.
The CEBL is preparing for its third season in 2021, following the success of the 2020 CEBL Summer Series in St. Catharines, Ontario; which saw a record 1.2 million viewers across Canada tune in to four days of live programming on CBC.
