
Edmonton Stingers Re-Sign Kareem South

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced on Friday that the organization has re-signed Guard, Kareem South, for the 2021 Season. South joined the Edmonton Stingers in the 2019 Season where he started eight games averaging 11.2 minutes.
"We really like South's upside and character, " said Stingers GM and Head Coach Jermaine Small. "As the summer series continued, he got better. With last summer's experience and his desire to improve we're very excited to have him back and see him grow."
Prior to joining the Stingers, South in 134 games (116 starts) averaged 10.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.9 steals per game split between Texas A&M-CC and California. South played four seasons with Texas A&M-CC before transferring to California for the 2019-20 season.
In his 2019-2020 season (California) in 32 games (27 starts), South averaged 8.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1 assist and 0.7 steals per game for the Golden Bears.
