
Edmonton Puts ICE on the Brink

20 year old forward Owen Pederson scored two goals for the Winnipeg ICE Wednesday night in Edmonton, however it was the Oil Kings earning a 4-2 victory to take a three games to one series lead in the WHL's Eastern Conference Championship Series.
Carter Souch replied with a pair of goals for the Oil Kings while Justin Sourdif and Dylan Guenther also found the back of the net.
Edmonton led 2-1 after the opening period and 3-2 through 40 minutes.
Sebastian Cossa stopped 20 of 22 Winnipeg shots while Gage Alexander suffered the loss making 32 of 36 saves.
Both teams went 1/4 on the power play.
The series resumes with Game 5 Friday night (8pm Central) at Rogers Place.
A Winnipeg win takes the series back to the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena for Game 6 Sunday afternoon at 5:00.
