Edmonton Cracker-Cats announce 2008 schedule

The Edmonton Cracker-Cats open their fourth season, and first as a member of the western based Golden League, with a four game homestand against provincial rivals the Calgary Vipers on Thursday, May 22 at TELUS Field.
"We are extremely excited to announce our first Golden League schedule," said 'Cats Chief Operating Officer, Darren Parker. "We can now get out there, hit the streets and start promoting this new exciting chapter of professional baseball in Edmonton."
Edmonton baseball fans will get their first look at the Cracker-Cats new Golden League foes when the Chico Outlaws make their inaugural trip north for a three-game set beginning June 10. The 'Cats will then welcome the St. George Roadrunners for the final three games of the six game homestand June 13-15th.
Included in the 'Cats 44-home schedule is the clubs traditional homestand over the Canada Day long weekend. The eight-game homestand includes three games against the Long Beach Armada from Tuesday, June 24-26, three games with the Reno Silver Sox from Friday, June 27-29 and ending with two games against the Calgary Vipers on Monday, July 1-2.
The 'Cats close the season at home with three games against the Vipers from Friday, August 29-31.
