
Edmonton Capitals Batboy/Batgirl Tryout

The Edmonton Capitals offer one of the coolest jobs of the summer time for kids between the ages of 10 to 15. The team will be hosting it's second annual Batboy/Batgirl tryouts presented by 630 CHED, Joe FM and CISN Country 103.9. The tryouts will take place on Saturday May 1st as part of the Capitals Open House where the team will also be hosting open tryouts for the 2010 playing roster.
The Capitals employ 12 batboys and batgirls throughout the summer and those kids that earn a spot after tryouts will receive:
- 22 game vouchers to use while they are not working - A Capitals uniform they get to keep at the end of the season - A post-season slo-pitch event with the staff - A free meal at every game they work - A guarantee to work no more than 22 games during the season
Those interested can pre-register on-line at capsbaseball.ca. Kids are asked to check-in at the Home Plate Club at the ballpark on Saturday May 1st between 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Tryouts start at 1:30 p.m. The only equipment required will be a good pair of running shoes and athletic wear that you would use for phys-ed class at school.
