
Edge Announce 2013 Schedule

The Bloomington Edge, presented by Heller Stores, have announced their 2013 schedule as the team prepares for the eighth season of indoor football at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
The Edge will play a 12-game schedule in the new Champions Professional Indoor Football League, which includes 10 teams in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma.ÃÂ All six Edge home games and two road contests will be played on Friday evenings with the remaining games scheduled for Saturdays.ÃÂ Edge home games are scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
The league will open with one game on March 9 followed by the remaining teams opening in the third weekend of March.ÃÂ The Edge will open the season at home for the first two games on March 15 and March 22.ÃÂ The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs with the first CPIFL championship game scheduled for the weekend of June 21-23.
As announced last week, Kenton Carr returns as head coach of the Edge and Ted Schmitz continues his role as director of recruiting and assistant coach.ÃÂ Both have been involved with indoor football in Bloomington since the first season in 2006.ÃÂ Player signings will be announced in coming weeks.
