
Ed Greene signs with Montreal

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 today announced that defensive lineman Ed Greene has been signed by the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
Green, a former Section II All-Star at Broadalbin-Perth High School, appeared in three games for the Conquest this season, recording 7.5 tackles including one sack.
"The Montreal coaching staff saw the game against Green Bay (Conquest 75-27 win) and they really liked the way Ed Greene played and offered him a contract," Conquest head coach Pete Costanza said. "This shows that players in our league do get noticed and they do get opportunities at the higher levels of football. We wish Ed all the best as he moves forward in his career."
The Conquest, 1-2, play the expansion Fort Wayne Fusion Saturday, April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Coliseum.
