ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Toledo's Moore fined, suspended

Toledo's Bryan Moore has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #572, Rapid City at Toledo, on Jan. 27.

Moore was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head under Rule #48.5 at 10:07 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Moore will miss Toledo's games vs. Kalamazoo (Jan.31 ), vs. Tulsa (Feb. 1), vs. Brampton (Feb. 2), and vs. Indy (Feb. 9 and Feb. 10).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Kalamazoo's Gardiner fined, suspended

Kalamazoo's Reid Gardiner has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #571, Indy at Kalamazoo, on Jan. 27.

Gardiner is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as the result of shooting the puck out of play following a whistle at 10:54 of the third period.

Gardiner will miss Kalamazoo's game at Toledo on Jan. 31.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
