
Early Tourists Runs Setback GreenJackets

Augusta GreenJackets News Release
Asheville, NC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, lost 14-3 to the Asheville Tourist on Saturday night.
Over the first two innings of the game, the Tourist put up a combined eight runs on the GreenJackets. This put them in the driver's seat as they were in control for the rest of the ballgame.
In the top of the sixth inning, Heliot Ramos would hit a solo home run to put the GreenJackets on the board. This was his 10th long ball of the season. After the home run, the Tourists would respond with six more runs over the next two innings. Ryan Kirby would put the last runs up on the board with a two-run home run into center field. This was the 13th home run of the season for Kirby.
The GreenJackets will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at 2:05 pm for game two of the series against the Asheville Tourists.
After the seven game road trip, the GreenJackets will once again be home against the Intimidators. Promotions include our last Thirsty Thursday, along with College Football night. Friday we will have an Auggie Bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Saturday we will have a fireworks show and our SweetWater 90s themed jersey. Then to end the series on Sunday, we will have Bark in the Park!
