
Eagles Travel to Springfield for a Weekend Set against the Jr. Blues

The Soo Eagles will end their 2013-14 season this weekend, when they host the Springfield Jr. Blues, Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. You can catch all the action on www.fasthockey.com.
The Eagles are in sixth place in the North American Hockey League's North Division, with 55 points, and have been eliminated for any playoff possibilities. Springfield is in fifth place with 58 points. They are three points out of a playoff spot, and need two wins this weekend, coupled with two Johnstown losses, in regulation, to clinch a playoff spot.
The Eagles are led in scoring by Mike Sabatini, who has 19 goals and 22 assists this season. Sandis Zolmanis has 11 goals and 18 assists, while Scott Cuthrell is (12-16- 28). The Jr. Blues are led in scoring by Max Kalter, who has 14 goals and 21 assists this season. Mike Severson has 8 goals and 18 assists, while Trevor Stone is (9-16- 25).
Soo Eagles goaltender Paige Skoog is 7-11-0-2 this season, with a goals against average of 2.85 and a save percentage of .917. Nathan Klebe is 7-5-0-0 on the campaign, with a GAA of 2.79 and a SV% of .917.
Springfield net minder Steffanos Lekkas is 19-20-2-4 this season, with a goals against average of 2.33 and a save percentage of .927. Tyger Howat is 2-0-0-1 on the campaign, with a GAA of 2.19 and a SV% of .934.
These teams have met twice this season, with Springfield winning both those contests on October 11-12, 2003, in Springfield.
