Eagles to Host La Blues

After a tough lose in Open Cup quarterfinals, Tuesday night against Chivas USA the Charlotte Eagles are back at home Thursday night to host the LA Blues at Charlotte Christian Stadium at 7:00 PM.
The Eagles are coming off a long trip to the West coast where their Cinderella story came to an end after Jose Correa's two goals were enough to end the Eagles' Open Cup run.
This will be the first time that Charlotte hosts the LA Blues. Last year the Eagles split with the Blues each taking a game with 2-1 wins in LA.
With a record of 5-3-2 the Blues share 5th place with Richmond. The Blues are coming off two wins against the Dayton Dutch Lions and look to continue their streak on the road.
It is imperative that the Eagles step up and continue to find ways to win games in the USL PRO in order to have any chance in the playoffs. The Eagles had a substantial victory in their last USL PRO showing claiming victory over Richmond 4-0.
With the Open Cup off the table, though disappointing, the Eagles will now focus all their attention on going after a USL PRO playoff spot.
