The Soo Eagles collected their second straight win on Pink in the Rink weekend at Pullar Stadium, as they stormed out to a 2-0 lead, and hung on, as they earned a 3-2 victory over the Johnstown Tomahawks.
AJ Jarosz scored his second goal of the night, on the power play, at the 13:28 mark of the third period, to break a 2-2 deadlock, and propel the Eagles to the victory.
Sandis Zolmanis opened the scoring at the 2:15 mark of the first period, with an assist from Scott Cuthrell, to make the score 1-0 Eagles. Jarosz would score his first goal of the night, just 1:04 later, with an assist from Kristofers Bindulis, to make the score 2-0 after one.
Johnstown stormed back in the second period, with goals from Joe Drabin and Shane Cuckovich, 20 seconds apart, to tie the game at 2-2 after two periods of play.
Nathan Klebe earned the victory in goal for the Soo Eagles, stopping 26 shots.
