Saginaw Spirit News Release
Welcome to Eagles' Nest Notes, the weekly Saginaw Spirit update and preview. The Spirit beat the Windsor Spitfires 5-0 Thursday, the Sarnia Sting 4-3 in overtime Friday and the Spitfires 7-3 Sunday. The Spirit clinch home ice and the fourth playoff seed for the first round of the playoffs.
Career Marks
Center Tom Pyatt beat the single season goal record of 42 held by Nick Lees (2003-04) with his 43rd goal of the season scored Sunday against the Windsor Spitfires.
Center Tyler Haskins played his 300th OHL career game on Sunday against Windsor. It was Haskins', an overager, last regular season game in the OHL.
OHL Playoffs - First Round
The first round of the 2007 OHL Playoffs is set to begin this week.

Teams are re-seeded within their conference after each round and the division winners are always ranked 1-2 within the conference as long as they progress. The Champions from each conference play in the OHL Championship Series.

Spirit center Tom Pyatt and winger Ryan McDonough lead the team in production against the Hounds, each notching 10 points; Pyatt and winger Patrick Asselin have each tallied 5 goals. Goalie Ryan Daniels has earned a 0.911 save percentage and 2.35 goals against average in 8 games against the Soo.
Center Dustin Jeffrey (34-58-92) leads the offense with 92 points; winger Cody Thornton (36-40-76), d-man Josh Godfrey (24-33-57) and winger David Kuchejda (25-28-53) have also moved pass the 50 point marker this season. Jeffrey has scored 11 points on the Spirit while Thornton leads in goal scoring with 4; winger Jiri Tlusty (13-21-34), Kuchejda and Godfrey have each scored 3 goals. Veteran netminder Kyle Gajewski has started 56 games for the Hounds this season.
