Daka and Swinehart Earn Team of the Week Honors
(Tampa, FL) The United Soccer Leagues announced the honors for week eleven of the 2004 season. Eagles midfielder Patrick Daka and veteran forward Dustin Swinehart were named to the USL Pro Soccer League "Team of the Week."
First year Eagles' midfielder Patrick Daka is a native of Zimbabwe. He played in the PDL with the Cascade Surge before joining Charlotte. Daka earned "Team of the Week" honors for week 11 of the 2004 season, for his offense leading two goal performance in the Eagles' 3-0 victory over the Western Mass Pioneers on June 26th. Patrick now has four goals and one assist for nine points this season for Charlotte. The former Zimbabwe National Team player brings some great experience to the Charlotte Team. He can hold the ball well in the midfield and dish it to set up dangerous offensive opportunities. Daka is also a very strong finisher.
Veteran forward Dustin Swinehart earned Pro Soccer League "Team of the Week" honors for his goal and assist in the 3-0 win over the Western Mass Pioneers. This is the third week for Swinehart to be named to the Pro Soccer League "Team of the Week." He also received the honor in weeks four and nine of the season. Swinehart is currently second on the team in points with four goals and three assists for eleven points. Dustin turned down offers from A-League teams, the Rochester Rhinos and the Richmond Kickers to return for his 7th season with the Eagles this year despite the move to the Pro Soccer League from the A-League.
