The Soo Eagles are the hottest team in the North American Hockey League's North Division, going 10-2-3 in their last 15 games, as they play host to the Janesville Jets this Saturday night at 7 p.m., Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m., and Monday night at 7 pm.
The Eagles currently sit in fourth place in the North American Hockey League's North Division (18-15-7) with 43 points. Janesville is 16-19-1 with 33 points and in sixth place. The Eagles have moved themselves to within three points of the second place Johnstown Tomahawks.
The Eagles are led in scoring by Mike Sabatini, who has 12 goals and 14 assists this season. AJ Jarosz is (6-12- 18), while Ryan Urso is (4-13- 17) and Sandis Zolmanis is (7-10- 17).
The Jets are led in scoring by Michael Louria, who has 18 goals and 17 assists this season. Jordan Himley is (13-18--31), while Robin Hoglund is (10-16- 26).
Soo Eagles goaltender Landon Trutt is 4-1-0-2 this season, with a goals against average of 2.32 and a save percentage of .927. Nathan Klebe is 5-0-0-0 on the campaign, with a GAA of 1.97 and a SV% of .943.
Logan Halladay is 10-5-0-1 in net for Janesville, with a goals against average of 2.58 and a save percentage of .926. Brock Kautz is 6-12-0-1, with a GAA of 3.25 and a SVP of .908.
These teams have met four times this season, with the Eagles sweeping last weekend's series and the teams splitting a series in Janesville on December 6-7, 2013. These teams will meet one more time during the regular season, in Sault Ste. Marie, on February 21.
