Dynamo To Hold "America's Largest Soccer Tailgate" At Cinco De Dynamo

HOUSTON, TX (Thursday, April 22, 2010) -- The Houston Dynamo will host Cinco de Dynamo, billed as "America's Largest Soccer Tailgate," to celebrate Cinco de Mayo prior to their May 5 game against FC Dallas, presented by Mambo Seafood, it was announced today.

Fans can purchase a special $25 ticket that includes food and drink in the pre-game tailgate on the east side of Robertson Stadium and a ticket to the match, which kicks off at 8 p.m. The tailgate party, running from 4-8 p.m. in lot 15D off of Cullen Blvd., will include live performances by the Dynamo Girls, by several mariachi bands, and by the band Spin Cycle on the Budweiser Stage. All fans are invited to take part in the tailgate atmosphere, which may include food-eating contests, but free food and drink will be reserved for package-buyers. The May 5 match is the second and final meeting of the regular season between the Dynamo and in-state rival FC Dallas. A Houston win would keep El Capitán, a Civil War-era mountain howitzer, in Houston for the fourth time in five years. The teams played to a 1-1 draw March 27.

The Dynamo will host the 2010 Major League Soccer All-Star Game this summer at Reliant Stadium, and tickets are available in Dynamo season ticket packages, on sale now at or by calling (713) 276-7500.
