
Dynamo To Compete Against The World's Best

HOUSTON, TX (Thursday, September 20, 2007) - Some of the best players in the world are coming to Houston this December to participate in the first edition of the Free Kick Masters Tournament.
One Houston Dynamo player will be right there alongside them, competing for the title and $1 million in prize money.
"It will be great for our team to have representation in this marquis event," said Dynamo President Oliver Luck. "Our invitation and participation is further proof that the Dynamo and MLS are strengthening its brand and reputation worldwide. There will be a lot of people interested to see how our player matches up against the likes of Ronaldinho."
Fans will select the Dynamo representative via an online pole at www.houstondynamo.com.
Dwayne De Rosario, Stuart Holden, Brad Davis Richard Mulrooney, Brian Ching, and Wade Barrett are the candidates on the ballot. Voting is open through December 15.
Free Kick Masters will be held on Saturday, December 22 at Reliant Stadium. It is a skills-based international soccer competition featuring some of the world's top-rated players competing in a free kick shootout for a $1 million prize. Among those participating in the free kick competition are Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Alvaro Recoba, Luis Figo, and Deco. Goalkeepers featured in the event are Oliver Kahn, Francesco Toldo, Kasey Keller, and Santiago Canizares, among others.
