Duluth-Superior Dukes News Release
(Duluth, MN) As part of an in-between inning promotion, Dukes' fans are winning real diamonds. The "Diamond Dash" promotion is sponsored by LTD Jewelers and gives ten fans every game a chance to win a diamond.
Ten "diamond" boxes are placed in various spots on the in-field. Five contestants scramble to pick a box, four of which contain a cubic zirconia and one contains an actual diamond. The "diamonds" must be taken to LTD Jewelers to be appraised.
So far, this season, two lucky fans have walked away with diamonds: Lisa Shearer and Cheryl Atkinson.
LTD Jewelers is going to continue to give away a diamond a game for half of the Dukes remaining 44 home games. Contestants can sign-up for the promotion at the Fan Services table in the main concourse of Wade Stadium on the day of the game.
