
Ducks Win Three Straight

Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks News Release
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks are on a roll winning three straight away games, with another chance Monday night to sweep one team while visiting them. The Ducks will play the Coastal Bend Aviators on Monday night for the last time this stand in hopes of taking the team for a 4-0 winning streak. Friday, June 6 the Ducks shutout the Aviators 2-0. Tim McClaskey pitched all 9 innings with five strikeouts. McClaskey has an ERA of 1.24, leading the league in the pitching top 10, shutouts, innings pitched, and completed games. Saturday brought another win to the Ducks with Ross Cowling taking the win with 7 innings pitched. Eddie Lang brought in two runs, with Eric Cummins and Damian Roberts bringing in the others to win with a final score of 4-2. Sunday's game was a close one with the final score ending up at 4-3. Coastal Bend broke the score board first with two runs in the first three innings. The Ducks came back with two runs in the sixth inning and added another run in the eighth and ninth innings. Bryan King hit his first home run of the season to become player of the game. The Ducks now stand at 16-13, third place in the Eastern Division.
COLEMAN SIGNS WITH DUCKS
Even though Billy Coleman just signed with the Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks while they have been playing at Coastal Bend, he'll be pitching for the Ducks on Monday night. Coleman is a 6'1," 195 lbs. RHP who resides in Louisiana. He's been playing professionally since 2000 where he started with the Frontier League's River City Rascals. That beginning year his ERA was 4.27 with 52.2 innings pitched and 46 strikeouts. After playing for the Rascals for two seasons, he signed with the Fort Worth Cats. While playing there he started 16 of his 19 games, pitched 98 innings, had an ERA of 3.86 and 96 strikeouts.

Also, Saturday's game gates open at 5:45 because it's Fujifilm Photo Night. From 6:15-6:45 all fans will be allowed on field to take photos with the Ducks! Fans will receive Fujifilm coupons and other gifts! Saturday is also Halloween in June! There will be candy for the kids and costume contests for big prizes all night long. The first 1,000 kids will receive a Glow-in-the Dark Baseball!
Sunday, June 15 from 2-3pm kids can play catch with dad on the field at Price Cutter Park! It's also Family Fun Night and Boy Scout Day!
