Ducks Prepare for End of Season by Honoring Fans

The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks are saying farewell to the 2003 baseball season by honoring their fans! With only three games left for the season, the Ducks would love for you to come out and join them for Kid's Appreciation Nite/Girl Scout Nite and Fan Appreciation Nite.

Kid's Appreciation Nite/Girl Scout Nite is on August 22. Baseballs will be given to the first 1,000 children 14 years old and younger. Fireworks will take place after the game as well. If you are a child 15 years or younger, you will be able to get in for just $2.00. Girl Scouts will receive free admission to the game by showing their Girl Scout ID card or by wearing their Girl Scout uniform, all or part of it. Siblings of Girl Scouts will also receive free admission and Girl Scout parents will receive $4.50 group rate for any ticket in the stadium. The gates will open at 5 p.m. for a special clinic for select Girl Scouts. Question on eligibility should be directed to their troop leaders or the Dogwood Trails Girl Scout office. At 6 p.m., all Girl Scouts will be allowed on the field for a special autograph session with the Ducks players for 20 minutes. At 7:05, the Girl Scouts will be singing the National Anthem with a special first pitch from the top selling cookie seller.

Fan Appreciation Nite will be held on Saturday, August 23, the last game of the season. The gates open at 6:15 and the game begins at 7:15 p.m. Team posters will be given out to the first 1,000 fans. All night long, fans can buy tickets for $1.00 that will be donated to MDA to receive a chance to win one of the Ducks jerseys, sponsored by The Mobility Store. All Ducks jerseys will be given away at the end of the game. At 6:15 p.m., all of the Ducks players will be on the concourse to sign autographs for the fans. All MVP are invited for an after game party on the field. Fireworks will begin after the jerseys off their backs have been awarded. Prizes, compliments from the Ducks sponsors will be given away all night long via seat number.
