Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks News Release
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks were high on a four game winning streak but turned a corner when they headed to Louisiana.
Tuesday night brought a sad loss for the Ducks against the Shreveport Sports. Phillip May (2-3) started for the Ducks and pitched four innings. May delivered two strikeouts but gave up two walks and nine runs, seven of those earned. Drew Prater came in for relief in the fifth inning. Prater struckout five players, gave up two walks and one run. Shreveport pitcher Ryan Snyder pitched his third complete game and third shutout of season against the Ducks in the first game of a three game stand.
Wednesdays nights game boosted the Ducks to number three in the whole Central League, standing at 18-14, only two wins behind the Shreveport Sports. The Sports lost to the Ducks Wednesday night when Tim McClaskey pitched another complete game and gained a win. McClaskeys record is now 6-1. He had only one earned run for the night, no walks and 11 strikeouts to put his ERA at 1.20. Terence Green hit a home run, with Bryan King making two runs and Nick Sorensen making a run. The Ducks were the first on the scoreboard the second with two runs. Shreveport came back to tie the score 2-2 at the end of the third. However that didnt last long as the Ducks scored another run at the top of the fourth. Shreveport scored their final run of the night to even the score one more time, but were surprised when the Ducks scored in the seventh and held the Sports off for the rest of the game to win with a final score of 4-3.

Also, Saturdays game gates open at 5:45 because its Fujifilm Photo Night. From 6:15-6:45 all fans will be allowed on field to take photos with the Ducks! Fans will receive Fujifilm coupons and other gifts! Saturday is also Halloween in June! There will be candy for the kids and costume contests for big prizes all night long. The first 1,000 kids will receive a Glow-in-the Dark Baseball!
Sunday, June 15 from 2-3pm kids can play catch with dad on the field at Price Cutter Park! Its also Family Fun Night and Boy Scout Day!
Tuesday, June 17 Kids Night, All Ducks Quack Attack Pack Kids Club members receive FREE admission and their parents will receive admission for just $3.50! Any kid not in the Quack Attack Pack will receive $3 admission. Section 100 is the Quack Attack Pack section and any kids sitting in that section will receive a FREE Quacker.
