
Dubuque Defenseman Chanter Released from Hospital

Dubuque Fighting Saints defenseman Dylan Chanter has been released from an area hospital and has returned to Dubuque, Iowa. The 18-year-old was injured after falling to the ice in a contest against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Saturday, October 12th in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was attended to by medical personnel at the arena before being transported to a local hospital for further care.
The Office of the USHL Commissioner and management of both teams concurred to suspend the contest after the incident occurred midway through the second period. Details for a rescheduled date of the game will be announced at a later time.
Chanter posted a message to his Twitter account late Saturday that read: "Wanted to let everyone know I'm awake and okay. Thank you so much for all your thoughts (&) prayers. Nothing compares to the hockey community."
