Augusta, GA - The Greenville Drive scored all four of their runs in the fifth inning and held on with solid pitching to earn a 4-2 win over the Augusta GreenJackets, splitting the four-game series between the teams that wrapped up on Sunday at Lake Olmstead Stadium.

The Drive would get RBI singles from Pete Hissey and Mitch Dening before Ryan Lavarnway's two-run double put Greenville up 4-0 halfway through the game. Brock Huntzinger (7-8) shut the GreenJackets down through five scoreless innings, earning the win. He allowed two hits, didn't walk anyone and struck out six.

Charlie Culberson triggered a comeback bid for the GreenJackets with his leadoff double to start the seventh inning. With one out, Culberson scored on Francisco Peguero's RBI single. Peguero would score on Josh Mazzola's run-scoring single to left-center to cut the lead in half. Mazzola was thrown out at second trying to stretch the hit into a double and the Jackets barely threatened after that.

The Jackets bullpen strung together four scoreless innings to keep Augusta in the game, with Eric Stolp and Ryan Verdugo combining to strike out five. Starter Orlando Yntema (0-1), making his 2009 GreenJackets debut, was charged with all four runs in the fifth and allowed seven hits and a walk through five innings, fanning four hitters.

In the eighth, the Jackets left a pair stranded on the basepaths and had the tying run at the plate in the ninth when pinch hitter Johnny Monell struck out to end the game.

With Monday off, the Jackets will begin a five-game series with the Charleston RiverDogs on Tuesday, sending Eric Surkamp (6-5, 3.59) to the mound to face Brandon Braboy (2-4). First pitch comes at 7:05 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on WRDW AM 1630 and online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com.
