LUBBOCK, TX -- The Beaumont Drillers won their fourth straight game, third on the road, by defeating the Lubbock Lone Stars 60-47.
The Drillers will now host Cincinnati on April 16 at Ford Arena at 7:05 p.m. The original schedule remains the same.
Roy Locks sacked Lubbock quarterback Fred Ray with 1:51 remaining and teammate T.J. Light recovered the fumble from the sack in the endzone for six points to put the game away. Marvin Abii added two interceptions as the defense caused six turnovers.
Pat Palmer caught three touchdown passes to lead the offense and Roland Hayes added two on the ground to give him 13 on the year.
