Tulsa Drillers News Release
The Tulsa Drillers today unveiled a new, alternate player's cap that will be used during the upcoming Texas League season. The new cap will be worn during most Sunday games as well as during selected other special occasions.
The alternate cap features many of the colors that were used with the Drillers new uniforms that were introduced prior to last season. The crown is copper while the bill is black. The front features the mysterious oilman that is used in the team's primary logo. In the logo, the man is drilling into a baseball.
"According to responses from our fans, the two most popular elements of our new uniforms that we introduced last year were the oilman and the color copper," said Drillers Director of Merchandise and Promotions Jason George. "We decided to take those two elements and combine them into one cap. We think it has a very stylish and classic look that fans will like."
The new caps are currently available for purchase at the Drillers Stadium gift shop. The official New Era player's caps are priced at $20.00 each. The caps are also available on the Internet at www.tulsadrillers.com.
