Drillers announce 2007 promotions

The Tulsa Drillers have finalized the promotional schedule for the 2007 baseball season and it is highlighted by a new Sunday Kids Days promotion.
Kids Day activities will be held on every Sunday game throughout the season. The activities include pre-game Kids Clinics through June, giveaway items for kids 14 and under, face painting, a balloon artist plus a special Kids Eat Free element. All kids, ages 14 & under with a paid admission, will receive a free hot dog, ice cream and milk on all Sundays.
Other highlights of the schedule include eight post-game fireworks shows on selected Friday and Saturday nights. The popular fireworks shows will follow the games on April 21, May 19, June 1, June 15, June 29, July 14, August 4 and September 2.
The 2007 season will begin with Opening Nights I and II on Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6. Fans can obtain free general admission tickets from any sponsor of Drillers Baseball for either game. The first homestand will also include Bark In The Park on April 7 when fans can bring their dogs to the game.
Other highlights of this season's promotion schedule will include Drillers Fleece Blankets on April 20, T-Shirts on May 20, Caps on June 16 and August 31, Kenny Rogers Bobbleheads on July 13, Hornsby Wobblers on July 15, Teddy Bears on August 3 and Replica Jerseys on August 18.
The popular Thirsty Thursday promotion returns this season with $1.00 beer and soft drinks available at every Thursday game beginning with the game on April 19. The Ladies Night promotion will also return for every Monday game. All ladies receive free nail care and massages and discounted food and beverages.
The Drillers home schedule will feature several weekday, daytime games. Day games will be played on one Tuesday afternoon (April 10) and four Wednesday afternoons (May 2, May 16, May 30 & June 20). Morning baseball will occur on Friday, May 4 when Tulsa hosts Arkansas at 10:05AM. The early start is necessary because the annual Bedlam Game will be played at Drillers Stadium that evening.
