The distinction is the first such honor for the Bridgeport, CT native in his professional indoor career; he also received his first career weekly accolade for the seven-day period ending January 22.

The six-year veteran closed out arguably his most production season with a strong showing on both ends of the floor, leading all MISL defenders with points while adding a block and playing a key defensive role in the KiXX backline, in the club's final three games of the 2005-2006 season. The University of Pittsburgh product played forward and midfielder for the Panthers from 1995-98 and finished his collegiate career tied for fifth all-time in points. Kopp was also selected All-State as a senior a Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, PA.
