Drew II Signs 10-Day Contract with Philadelphia 76ers

Sioux Falls, SD (Jan. 16, 2015) - The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that they have signed guard Larry Drew II to a 10-day contract. Drew II is the second Skyforce player to earn a Gatorade Call-Up this season and the 48th player to earn a Call-Up in the organizations 26-year history.

Drew II appeared in 21 games (all starts) for the Skyforce this season and holds averages of 11.0 points, 10.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds. On Christmas Night, he set a new franchise and NBA Development League single game record by dishing out 23 assists. In his 21 games with Sioux Falls this season, Drew II recorded a team high nine double-doubles and led the team in assists in all but one game.

"Larry has been a driving force to our team's success." said Head Coach Phil Weber, "He embodies all the qualities NBA teams are looking for at the point guard position."

Drew II will wear number 7 with the 76ers.

The Skyforce (12-10) are in action again tomorrow at 2:45 p.m. against the Bakersfield Jam (15-8) in a NBA D-League Showcase Cup semi-final. The game will be shown LIVE on NBA TV.
