Dragons Travel To New Jersey To Take On Pride

Burlingame, CA - The San Francisco Dragons head to their second road game in at row as they travel to play the New Jersey Pride at Rutgers University's Yurcak Field on Saturday, June 21st at 8 p.m. (ET). The contest will be televised live on Comcast SportsNet West (Channel 400), Dish Network (Channel 409) and Direct TV (Channel 656).

The game is the second meeting ever of these two teams. The last time they played was a Dragons 16-15 overtime win at Kezar Stadium on July 1, 2006. The Dragons are currently in third place in the Western Conference as the Pride are in last place in the Eastern Conference.

The Dragons (1-3) enters the game after a 16-19 loss to the Denver Outlaws last Saturday. Attackman Jake Byrne leads the Dragons with 15 points (10 goals, 2 - 2point goals and 3 assists) and midfielder Tim Booth is second with 10 points (8 goals and 2 assists). Attackman Lewis Ratcliff has 9 points (8 goals and 1 assist) including 7 goals in the last two games. Rookie Matt Lalli is coming off a huge game against the Outlaws having scored 5 goals. Greg Gurenlian is 59/112 on face-offs (.527%) and has 13 groundballs. In goal Matt Vallone has a .517 save percentage, while veteran defensemen Eric Martin and Steve Holmes have 13 and 11 groundballs respectively while each adding 2 assists.

New Jersey also enters the game at 1-3. Attackman Merrick Thomson leads the Pride with 17 points (15 goals and 2 assists). Pride will be looking to set up their #1 draft choice, Matt Danowski, who is coming off a 'MLL Rookie of the Week' and 'Bud Light MVP' game against Rochester last weekend.

The San Francisco Dragons return home on Saturday, June 28th at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Boston Cannons at San Jose State University's Spartan Stadium.
