A 14-3 run in the second quarter by the New York Dragons (8-5) help defeat the Carolina Cobras (4-9) 61-39 in front of 10,185 fans at the Nassau Coliseum on Saturday night. QB Aaron Garcia went 15-of-20 for 246-yards and seven touchdowns in the victory. WR/LB Cosmo DeMatteo led the Dragons with three catches for 83-yards. FB Josh White scored on a franchise-long 31-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
"Tonight was probably one of our best offensive performances of the season," said Dragons head coach Todd Shell. "If we can build off this win, we'll be tough to beat the rest of the way."
