McGlone comes to the Dragons after playing two full seasons for Baltimore / Washington and six games in 2008. He was originally drafted by the Bayhawks in the 1st Round of the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft with the 5th overall pick.

In 2006 McGlone had played in 6 games scoring 10 goals and adding 1 assist. His best professional season came in 2006 where he played in 10 games scoring 19 goals (1 - 2point goal) and added 2 assists for 22 points. In 2007 he appeared in all 12 games scoring 13 goals (2 - 2 point goal) and added 2 assists for 16 points. He played collegiately at the University of Maryland where he was a three time All American being selected as a 1st Team All American in both his junior and senior seasons, and was a 3rd Team All American as a sophomore. As a senior he scored 22 goals and added 11 assists.

"Adding of player of Bill's caliber to our lineup provides a huge boost for us and we are thrilled to have him in San Francisco," commented Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Locker. "We feel that Bill, along with Sean Lindsay, Tim Booth and our rookie class, gives us the stability we needed to field a very solid midfield corps over the next several years."

"Having to part with Jarett was a difficult decision as he has given us two and a half great seasons in San Francisco and we are very appreciative of his efforts. Hunter likewise was a solid member of our organization and we wish both Hunter and Jarett the best as they continue their MLL careers," Locker continued.

McGlone will be joining the Dragons home game this Saturday, June 28 at 7PM as they take on Mike Powell, Paul Rabil and the Boston Cannons at Spartan Stadium.
