San Francisco Dragons News Release

San Francisco, CA - In a trade announced this afternoon, the San Francisco Dragons and the Denver Outlaws completed a deal that sends midfielder Mike LaMonica to San Francisco in exchange for Jeff Zywicki. LaMonica appeared in 2 games with the Outlaws scoring 3 goals and adding 1 assist, while Zywicki appeared in 1 game for the Dragons with 2 assists.

"While we are really sad part with a player of Jeff's caliber, we feel the addition of Mike gives us some added depth and flexibility as we prepare for our stretch run" commented Dragons GM Doug Locker. "Mike is a very talented player, who we feel fits in nicely with our overall team and we are really excited to have him join us in San Francisco." Locker added.

"It's really exciting to join the Dragons," says LaMonica, "as I know a lot of the guys who are there now and it's a great group."

Zywicki was acquired by the Dragons in the 7th round of the 2006 MLL Expansion Draft while LaMonica was selected by Denver in the 12th round of the same draft.
