Draft Mission Accomplished

September 26, 2007 - Continental Basketball Association 1 (CBA 1)
Southeast Texas Mavericks News Release

On Tuesday evening at Rodz Bar & Grill in Edinburg, the RGV Silverados accomplished their mission of getting all the players they wanted to draft in this year's CBA Draft.

The Silverados drafted six players in this year's draft and filled their desires and needs in doing so. Silverados head coach Steve Tucker was thrilled about his team's draft. "We're thrilled and all I can say is Mission Accomplished! I have never gotten every player that I intended on drafting in any of the previous pro basketball drafts that I've participated in and it is quite rare to do that, but we did it in this year's CBA Draft. I'm overjoyed with the players we drafted, for they are all very talented and high character guys! We're fortunate to bring such high caliber players here to the Valley in our first season."

The RGV Silverados players participating in this season's Veterans Training Camp will report to McAllen on October 31st to begin preparations for the upcoming 2007-08 CBA season. The Silverados will tip-off their inaugural season in the CBA on November 17th when they host the Oklahoma Cavalry, who are coached by former NBA player Michael Ray Richardson. Richardson coached his former team, the Albany Patroons to the CBA Finals last season. The Silverados will play all of their home games at the new McAllen Convention Center this upcoming 2007-08 basketball season.

RGV SILVERADOS SEASON TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!!! For more information on the Silverados you can go online at www.rgvsilverados.com or you can call #956/668-1116.
