Auburn Doubledays News Release

The Auburn Doubledays are pleased to announce a brand new partnership with Perform 4 Purpose for the 2017 season. The Doubledays have partnered with Perform 4 Purpose to provide music before and during each home game to add a different flavor to the stadium this season. Each Doubledays home game will have different performances from young musicians throughout Auburn and Cayuga County.

"With over 50 performers, and counting, coming this summer, Perform 4 Purpose is excited about collaborating with the Auburn Doubledays to help support our community at Falcon Park this summer." said Jim VanArsdale of Perform 4 Purpose. "Not only is it a fun, family friendly event, but we will be able to have a large impact in our community and help important causes for those less fortunate. Perform 4 Purpose considers this partnership a home run for the community, fans, and our young musicians."

Friday nights, performers from Perform 4 Purpose will be featured on the newly named Tinkers Crafters Corner on the Doubledays Deck. Music will be provided for the Doubledays Friday Night Happy Hours, where patrons of Falcon Park will be treated to food and drink specials prior to the game. Not only will Perform 4 Purpose be featured throughout the year, they will also raise money for local causes through their song-a-thon. Information about the song-a-thon is available at www.perform4purpose.org by clicking the song-a-thon tab. Check out the list of performers and the different organizations that Perform 4 Purpose helps, and sign up to help them reach their goal of $5,000.00 this summer.

"This is something that adds another dimension to the atmosphere at Falcon Park, and also adds more into the community." said Adam Winslow, General Manager of the Auburn Doubledays. "We are creating partnerships that add so much to the ballpark, and also put something back into the wonderful city of Auburn and beautiful Cayuga County.

Assistant General Manager Shane Truman also said, "To have an opportunity to showcase the talent of these young people in our community, and to help others in the process is something that the entire Doubledays organization is very excited about, and we are very grateful to Jim and his organization for being a part of what we are trying to do. This is a win-win for both sides, and for the community who comes to the ballpark."
