Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release
A walk-off single from Brian Doran brought home the winning run for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (24-27) in a 4-3 victory over the Torrington Titans in 11 innings at The Ball Park on Wednesday.
Doran reached base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth, seventh, and eleventh innings.
Enrique Sosa baffled the Torrington Titans (21-28), striking out nine batters. Sosa allowed one earned run, two hits and no walks over six innings.
John Mildner improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. Mildner struck out one, walked three and gave up no hits.
Chris Hatfield ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.
The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide will be back at home Thursday August 8th playing two games against the North Shore Navigators. The Raging Tide will be resuming and suspended game from Sunday August 4th vs. the Navigators at 5:00pm with a 7 inning game following at 7:00pm.
