It's the Freedom's big event to get you, the Freedom fan, geared up for another run at the Founders Cup – Freedom Fan Fest! Don't miss the action this year, as the 2003 Washington Freedom Fan Fest presented by Comcast SportsNet kicks off at 2p.m. at the Maryland SoccerPlex on March 30!

Come out and meet the team and enjoy the day, which will feature games, food, and fun! Following the annual event, the Freedom will take on the Boston Breakers in the headline game of the seventh annual Kicks Against Breast Cancer tournament at 4 p.m. at the SoccerPlex. Admission to the game is a $10 donation to benefit the Howard County General Hospital's Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource and Image Center in Columbia, Md. and the Claudia Mayer Breast Cancer Foundation. So come to Fan Fest and help send the Freedom into the 2003 season with all of your support – see you there!

Freedom select 20 Freedom Fighters Club Ticket Delivery contest winners who will get their 2003 season tickets personally hand-delivered by a Freedom player - this Wednesday!

The Freedom have selected the 20 winners in the team's Freedom Fighters Club ticket delivery contest, who will get their 2003 season tickets personally hand-delivered by a Freedom player this Wednesday, March 19! The 20 winners were selected at random in a drawing by Freedom staff following the Freedom's 5-1 victory over the University of Virginia Saturday at RFK Stadium.

Freedom defeat University of Virginia, 5-1, in preseason scrimmage

The Freedom got help from both newcomers and veterans to defeat The University of Virginia, 5-1, Saturday afternoon in front of over 500 fans at RFK Stadium. 2003 draft pick Darci Borski scored twice against her former teammates and fellow rookie Laura Schott added another goal to help lead the Freedom over the Cavaliers. Freedom veterans Monica Gerardo and Emmy Barr also notched a goal each and newcomers Kelly Golebiowski and Lori Lindsay (another UVA alum) both had assists
