TRENTON, N.J. - Daryle Dobos, a native of nearby Fairless Hills, Pa., has been named the radio voice of the Trenton Titans, the ECHL team announced.

Dobos, known throughout the Greater Mercer County area for his work with the Rider University Women's Basketball Team and Trenton Steel indoor football team, will call all 72 Titans games on Rider University's 107.7 FM "The Bronc.''

Dobos also called the USA Hockey Championships for several years.

"I'm both thrilled and honored to be chosen for this position,'' said Dobos. "I have a chance to call a sport I've always loved - and played when I was younger - at a professional level.

"I look forward to bringing Titans fans a broadcast they will enjoy every game.''

Titans President/CEO Rich Lisk is pleased to have Dobos, whose upbeat style he is quite familiar with, on board.

"Daryle is an excellent broadcaster, who, through his work with several teams at many levels, is known throughout the area. "He's a fan-favorite.''

During his work with the 2008 USA Hockey Championships, Dobos called as many as four games in a day, one of which stretched into eight overtimes.

"That was something that can take any broadcaster to the limit,'' said Dobos. "There will be some games that will be demanding, but I doubt anything like that.''

The Titans will play two preseason games, meeting Elmira at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7 at Pro Skate in Monmouth Junction, and visiting Reading at the Sovereign Center at 4:05 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9.

The team makes its regular-season ECHL return at Elmira Oct. 14, with a scheduled 2011-12 home-opener vs. Florida Oct. 22.

Season tickets are on sale by calling 609-341-1100, or on-line at www.trentontitanshockey.com. Single-game tickets are available by calling our office, at the Sun National Bank Center box office or on-line via ComcastTix.
