Djiby, Konig Grab Co-Offensive Player of the Year Honors

CINCINNATI, OH - FC Cincinnati's leading scorers, Djiby and Danni König, came away with team Offensive Player of the Year nods.

The two combined for half of the team's 43 goals with Djiby logging an even dozen and König following with 11. Djiby, who also had three assists, notched his tally over 25 games played and 20 starts while König included an assist to his total over 24 games played and 11 starts for the Orange and Blue.

Djiby was selected to the USL Team of the Week four times, including nabbing Player of the Week recognition following a four-goal game against Saint Louis FC. The Senegalese forward also was a candidate for lower-division TheCup.us lower-division Player of the Year after being the first player in the modern era to score four game-winning goals in a single tournament.

König, a USL Team of the Week choice, garnered the nod after recording a brace in a 2-1 win over Bethlehem Steel FC.

The club will continue to unveil team awards this week with Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and the Cincinnatus Award still to be revealed. Kenney Walker was named the team's Most Valuable Player Monday.
